“Keep close to Nature's heart...and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.”
― John Muir
This is one of the most beautiful hikes we have ever done.
We had been very lucky that it was open during our stay in Glacier National Park. (It gets closed often due to Bear activity). Luckily (for me) and, sadly (for Tanveer), we did not encounter any BEAR.
The trail runs for 6 miles and has a vertical gain of 1600 feet. It starts from Swiftcurrent Lake shore from Many Glacier hotel and, trail ends at Upper Grinnell Lake and Grinnell Glacier at the base of the continental divide.
